LABRADORITE
According to Inuit legend, the Northern Lights
were once trapped within the rocks of Labrador.
A warrior struck the stone with his spear,
releasing most of the light into the sky,
while part of its shimmering glow remained forever
inside the gemstone we now know as Labradorite.
Discovered in Labrador, Canada, during the eighteenth century,
this natural gemstone became admired for its blue, green
and golden flashes, known as labradorescence.
Its shifting light has inspired stories of intuition,
protection and transformation across generations.
Labradorite has also been linked to inner strength,
self-discovery and the courage to welcome change.
